Our most recent Lowcountry Lab Rescue foster was this cute little girl pictured above. We didn't even get a chance to post any pictures of her before she has found her new adoptive parents. She was only in our house for two weeks before being moved to a foster-to-adopt situation. She can be officially adopted once she has been spayed, but in the mean time she can begin to bond with her mom and dad.
For size perspective, here is baby girl next to our full grown labs.
Her new family has named her Buoy and she is doing well. Best wishes to Buoy and her mom and dad! If you are interesting a puppy please check out Lowcountry Lab Rescue.

SEWE weekend
It's a freezing cold weekend, but SEWE is here! Zeke went downtown to Marion Square and threw his hat in the ring for the Garden and Gun Magazine photo contest. We also toured through the Certified South Carolina grown tent and Zeke sampled some delicious meatballs! (if you were the lovely meatball person and want to email us the picture you took, we'd love to post it on the blog)
South Carolina State Park Rangers were offering to take pictures with SEWE attendees and post them on their facebook. Of course, Zeke can't resist a photo-op

Cinco de Zeke-o
Our dear Senor Zeke turns 5 years old this month! Today, we had an awesome birthday fiesta dubbed 'Cinco de Zeke-o'. Dad setup a delicious taco bar and homemade queso dip. Mom baked peanut butter pup cakes and of course we had pup cream. Great turn out for the fiesta.
Elvis sighting in the backyard!

Jake the lab
For his birthday, Zeke requested donations to the Charleston Animal Society food bank - and his guests delivered! We'll post a few more pictures in a few days. Thanks to all of Zeke's friends who were able to make it out to the party.

At the Google Datacenter press conference
Zeke missed his chance to meet and take his picture with another governor today. Gov. Nikki Haley was on hand at the Berkeley County Datacenter to announce the building of an additional data center at the site. We only got a chance to snap this picture of Zeke with Andy the Android.
Zeke looked the part, wearing his Google tie-dyed shirt, but sadly had to leave the press conference early due to his excited but very loud barking.

Hanahan Christmas Parade
Zeke and Sadie officially kicked off the Christmas season by attending the Hanahan Christmas Parade. Zeke found a good spot to catch all the action and dressed for the occasion.
This was a cool golden retriever dressed as Santa Claus on a float in the parade.
Zeke liked the Snowman float AND the big ol' dog biscuits that some thoughtful parade participants handed out. Happy Holidays Y'all!

Blue Ridge Hiking
We just got back from a great family vacation in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina. We stayed at an awesome site called Bear Den campground. They even offer pet friendly cabins! With quick access to great hiking trails, like Zeke - seen above at Lower Linville falls.
This is at Crabtree falls. It was definitely more crowded but then we did go to this one on a Saturday.
Zeke, Sadie and their Dad. We all had a blast and look forward to future trips there.

Dog Day at the Waterpark
It was time for the annual Dog Day Afternoon at Whirln' Waters waterpark today. Zeke fed his swimming jones in the Big Kahuna wave pool and we walked around the Lazy River and Otter Bay puppy pool. We also met up with some friends - Sparky and Fern!

Sky Dog Family Dog Park
We visited Sky Dogs Family Dog Park a couple weeks ago. It was our first time to this private dog park in Summerville. For non-members it was $3 a person to entry fee and that got you access all day. It was a pretty cool place, they have some food and beverages available for purchase as well as televisions setup and corn hole boards.
In the off-leash area, they have agility equipment, and we got Zeke to try some of it out. He jumped over the bar a few times, but then decided cheating was a better option. Here is Zeke coming off the balance beam. He's no Gabby Douglas, but I think he scores well on style. They have several other agility obstacles, which makes for a nice break up from the normal open grassy area of a dog park.
The owner told us they have plans to put in a dock dogs style dock and pool. We love that idea and hope to see it soon!!!
