Boating with the neighbors.

Our awesome next-door neighbors invited Zeke and Sadie to come out for a morning boat ride.  Zeke was pretty nervous riding in the boat and it took until the return trip before he really started to get used to it.
We anchored out from Horseshoe Island and let the dogs play in the shallow water.
Sadie jumped in after a lot of encouragement.
Miller and Zeke had an fantastic time running around in the water. Here they await the next bumper throw.
Miller takes in a nice view of East Bay.   Miller also was on the look out for pelicans, he had no qualms about jumping out of the boat at full speed to go after them.

Sadie was the opposite of Zeke and hopped on the bow of the boat like she had been doing it her whole life.
It was definitely a blast!

Dudley - Lowcountry Lab Rescue

This is Dudley, a senior labby in foster care with Lowcountry Lab Rescue.  We are dog-sitting while his foster family is on vacation.  Dudley is a nice old boy but he has a tough time with his joints and navigating our stairs.  Life just operates at a slower pace for Dudley.  So we were all surprised when he decided to jump into our kiddie pool and cool off! Once a water dog, always a water dog.

Post Independence Day

Zeke celebrated Independence Day with mom in the kiddie pool! Miller and his mom came over and played in the pool with us too. Then Zeke had a cookout and hung out with a bunch of cool people - he made the wise choice to ride out the fireworks from the safety of the couch.
