We love warm January days! Zeke headed to the lake this weekend for a little hike and swim time.

Turkey Day Traditions

Hope everyone had a lovely time with their friends and family.  We continued our tradition of heading to Zeke's favorite spot in the lowcountry.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Continuing our in town Thanksgiving tradition, Zeke went to the beach this morning and was thankful for all of the bumpers he fetched and the warm weather.

 We spent two nights in the fair twin city of Minneapolis, MN.  Checked out One on One Coffee and Bike Shop and saw some interesting sites such as above. 

Zeke checked out Minnehaha Falls along with the Mill Ruins park along the mighty Mississippi River. 

Road Trip Part 2

Continuing Zeke's Road Trip....

 Our second night was in Oglesby, Illinois, close proximity to Starved Rock State Park and Matthiessen State Park.  Zeke found this politically inspired #graffiti in the canyons at Matthiessen.

Zeke visted many new states on this trip.  Some, like Wisconsin, had cool welcome centers with state shaped signs!

Zeke's Great American Road Trip Intro

Zeke just got back from an epic road trip vacation that included 4000 miles traveled, 3 national parks, and many more state parks.  We'll break it up in to smaller posts so as not to overwhelm with pictures (of which there are MANY) but out first overnight stop was at Cumberland Falls, Kentucky!  Great scenic state park that offers a moonbow, unfortunately we had gray skies and rainy weather so we didn't get to see the moonbow.

Mom has been traveling for work, so her latest hobby has been forced photos with Zeke's presents from the journey.

A stuffed lobster from Boston!  This one has proved to be a crowd favorite.

On national dog day, the office that mom was working at got visited by many dogs including this adorable 13 week old whippet puppy!

The best present is that next trip Zeke gets to come with mom, traveling is much more fun with labs.

What to do with mostly empty Skippy jars...

Ever have that common problem of being at the end of the jar of peanut butter, it's tough to get any useable PB out but you don't want to toss away perfectly good peanut butter that's stuck to the sidewalls?  Just hand it over to your lab, Zeke is a peanut butter problem solver. 

Doggie Date Night / Two for Taco Tuesday - Riverdogs

Last night was Doggie Date Night and Two for Taco Tuesday at the Charleston Riverdogs. A great deal and a perfect night for baseball.

Mom and Zekers, the visiting Rome Braves won 8-1.  GO BRAVES!

One section over the front row was filled with Leonbergers, very cool BIG mountain dogs.  One four month old pup was bigger than Zeke!

Mother's Day at the Beach

We went out to Sullivan's today to enjoy some beach fetching time and we met this little guy, Ellis. Not yet 4 months old and he is rarin' to go.  His family wanted him to get used to the ocean/water and he took off after Zeke.  Ellis even made some really good retrieves of the bumper.  Such a cute pup, very nice to meet him and his pack.

Zeke and Sadie got to meet Covey this weekend.  Covey is a 1 year old German Shorthaired Pointer and he is training to be a serious hunter!
