Happy Fourth of July!

This is Josiah, a Lowcountry Lab Rescue foster boy. He was hanging out with us on the fourth for a cookout and lab type fun.
Zeke and Miller spent some play time together yesterday.
Sadie prefers to be patriotic in the shade.
Zeke loves his country!

Just before the lick

After Zeke drinks water out on the trail he likes to give dad a big ol' wet slobbery 'Thank you' lick. He is such a sweet puppy! Happy Father's Day to Zeke and Sadie's dad you are the best - they didn't get you a card but isn't a blog post even better?

Zeke and Dad chilling on the couch and watching the Bravos play. I like how they can share a pillow.
And here is Zeke with his treat from Vermont. Cinna-roos, from Pupcat Bakery, we found them at the farmer's market.

Been trying to post for a couple days but Blogger has been fighting back!

Greek Zeke - Lunch with Sarah

Today was Zeke's annual vet checkup and since we had to be up in that part of town Zeke and mom had lunch with their good friend Sarah at the Continental Corner.

Everything looked good for Zeke except he was deemed to be slightly overweight. That is something we are working on.

a few random pictures

I'm just now getting around to figuring out the best way to get pictures transferred off of my new phone so here are a few from a while back:
Zeke with Sunshine, an LLR foster girl, whom we kept for a week while her foster parents went out of town.
Zeke and mom hanging out a Riverfront part on a lovely spring day.

The Destroyer of Wiffle Balls

Note to self: Don't leave Zeke alone with a wiffle ball. The white amalgamation pictured above used to be a functioning ball... and he wanted it back.

Dad's Favorite Swimming Hole

Part 2 of Dad's Favorite places to take us to swim. This is in the Francis Marion Forrest. A very cool place, you may have seen some of the shots taken when we hike there.

Sadie really was in the mood to swim today.

Mom's Working

Mom has a new work schedule, so we are home with Dad on the weekends, he tries to take us out for some fun on Sunday's. We have been going to one of our favorite swimming holes. The weather was overcast and a little misty but my sis and I had fun. I really prefer to fetch from the water .

Dad, I am ready for a treat!!

Final Four, Baby!

Come college hoops time Zeke bleeds Kentucky blue, he wanted to get in the spirit by donning his basketball workout gear. We are geared up to watch some exciting final four action. And though we are typically pro-dog in this household tonight it's going to be 'Boo Huskies' and GO CATS!

Zeke and the Two Sadies

Zeke has another neighbor lab friend - her name is Sadie - so we like to call her "Sadie across the street" or SAS. She came over to play today so we had the lab rainbow going on in the back yard!

Bed Bugs

For the past few weeks now we have been noticing our bed being unmade and disheveled when we returned home at the end of the day. Legitimately, the blame was initially placed on Zeke's mom as I'm typically the one responsible for any slovenly behavior in our house. And I can honestly admit to times when I can't be sure if I've made the bed or not. But after having repeat offenses I began to make sure the covers were taken care of before I left for the day. And we would still come home to pulled back sheets and relocated pillows. So it had to be one of the dogs or some random Goldilocks-esque crazy person who breaks into our home during the day for naps. Today I was off of work and happened to walk by the bedroom and notice this bed bug. Now, we've known that Zeke likes to sleep on our bed while were gone, however we're unsure as to what has brought on this recent desire to yank down the comforter and snuggle down. I've got to figure out how to set up a webcam to record this crazy lab.
